Graphical User Interface Design
Some of the time I spent with Aloha Technologies and Radiant Systems was on a team that worked on developing unique user interfaces for point-of-sale terminals. The end result of our research was the implementation of a user interface feature known as EGI (edgy) - Enhanced Graphical Interface. The point-of-sale world is the ultimate challenge for user interface designers due to the challenge of the environment. Below are the template file screen shota from the 'themes' of my design that were implemented in the final feature set.

Aluminum
Popular and unique interface modeled after the Apple iTunes interface. A much duplicated, but always appreciated theme. |
 |
Candy
Modeled after a bag of Skittles, this theme is vibrant and easy for wait and bar staff to navigate even in the most intense environments. |
 |
Full Metal POS
A variation on the Aluminum theme, this interface takes a new approach to keypad entry by placing the numeric keys in a vertical row alongside the ticket detail window. |
